Engine Houses

6 products

Cornwall is littered with Engine Houses, which stand as testaments to its rich mining history. It is thought that at one time there were as many as 3,000 engine houses standing across Cornwall.

These beautiful structures housed large pumps, which prevented the mines beneath them from flooding. These feats of engineering were partly responsible for Cornwall being the richest place on earth in the heyday of Cornish mining.

This collection of framed prints is an opportunity to own a view of Cornish Engine Houses as you've never seen them before.
