The Story: One of the first rules of photography is don't take photographs into the sun. It's a rule that I like to break.
I wanted to try and get a photo of the dawn over the beach with The Dunes development in the foreground, and Perrancoombe Valley, Penhale, and Gull Rocks in the background.
Like all photography, drone photography is a matter of trying lots of different things, and occasionally one of them works.
I love how the shape of the river across the beach helps frame the picture; the dawn light on the houses; and the flash of lens-flare on the beach.
